Are you proud Annie? I did it without you asking!

This is a lot more fun then just putting pictures up, plus it doesn't take as much room. It's just some pictures of Tayson over the last week. Hope you enjoy it!

This is Tayson falling asleep. He fights it so hard, that it sometimes takes him like 10 minutes to fall asleep completely. Then once his passy falls out he's wide awake until I put it back in and he starts falling asleep again.

How we're doing ...

So I posted some pictures last night, but was too tired to write a whole lot. So for anyone interested in how we're doing, here ya go...

We're doing fairly well. We've started to get on somewhat of a schedule. He's eating around every 3-4 hours, sometimes he goes to 5 and sometimes it's only 2. He's sleeping fairly well at night, Shane has been a great help though when he hasn't, because he'll stay up with him. I'm dreading when he goes back to work Monday though, because I'm not going to let him stay up with him much. Shane needs his sleep, and I can sleep in.

Tayson has been eating REALLY well ... today he ate for 35 minutes straight. The most he's ever eaten. I've noticed that I need to let him eat more during the feedings, because he's been getting hungry sooner lately. He just always falls asleep so I assume he's finished, and then he'll wake up and start rooting around. We're learning though. His feedings are getting better for me too, I'm not as sore as I used to be.

It seems like all we ever do is change diapers. Today he had a blowout while Shane was holding him and it got all over both of their shirts. I felt bad for Daddy, because we were eating dinner at a restraunt too. Oh well, that's parenthood for ya huh? I'm just glad he wasn't in his blanket at the time, because I didn't have an extra outfit and so he went naked and I just put him in his blanket. (Tayson went naked, not daddy ... daddy wasn't so lucky)

Anyway, we're doing good ... learning lots about being a family. It's going to be harder when Shane goes back to work this week, but Tayson and I will figure it out. It'll be good bonding time for us. We definitely have enjoyed having Daddy home with us for the last 2 weeks though, and we surely love him. Tayson is a daddy's boy, but also a momma's boy too (he better be or else he'd be in big trouble).

Thanks to everyone for the emails and phone calls and gifts. They've been greatly appreciated!

The Cutest...

I have to apologize to everyone in advance, because I have the cutest baby in the whole world.
He loves to smile ... he usually will when he's sleeping.
My precious little boy. I love him so much. I love just watching him sleep.
He loves to sleep with his arms like that for some reasonl. He does it all the time.
This is after his first real bath.
My handsome little prince. How adorable!

Tayson is finally here!

Tayson is here!!!!!!!! We are so excited! He was 8 lbs 8 oz and 20 1/2 in long. He's a healthy boy and we are loving every minute we have with him. I was in labor for 14 hours, and pushed for 1 1/2. His heart rate was dropping when I would turn to my left side so it was pretty much unmedicated as I stayed on my right side most of the day. He was born at 9:50pm on Tuesday, July 29th. Thank you to everyone who came to visit and who called and sent texts and emails.

OK OK!!!! Here are some pictures! Sorry, things have just been a little hectic lately, if you could imagine that... and they're a little out of order, but I'm tired and lazy and am heading to bed after this, so I'm not fixing it. ;) The one above is his new bedding that Grandma Caryn made for him. Shane and I picked out the fabric, it turned out really cute.

This is Tayson's first time sleeping in his crib. Man that kid is adorable!
This is Steve and Aunt Annie "cooing" over him. Annie was pretty much over a cold but was still worried she would get her nephew sick, so she had us pick up some surgical masks when we were at the hospital.
Grandma Nelly and Tayson. She was a baby hog ALL weekend. She and Annie had claw marks from fighting over him.
This is Tayson yawning. My sweet little boy.
This is me in the hospital, I had to have oxygen because his heart rate was dropping.

This is little T-Rex's first picture. Isn't he adorable?
Mommy and Daddy holding Tayson in the hospital. His poor little head was a cone head when he came out, so his little cap wont fit all the way on.
Daddy's first time holding Tayson.
GOING HOME FINALLY!!! We were in the hospital for 2 1/2 days. We were ready to go home.
