THREE MONTHS!!! HOORAY!!!

IM THREE MONTHS TODAY!!! HOORAY FOR ME!!!

This is me sitting on the couch all by myself!!!

This would be me starting to fall to the side ...

And this would be me after I fell all the way over!
(Guess I'm not quite ready to sit all by myself)

Tummy Time! (not my favorite)

Look how well I can hold my head up though!

My Little T-Rex!!

Well, I've been looking for the last month for a costume for Tayson. Shane would accept only one ... go figure ... a T-REX! Well, they don't exist for anyone younger than 12 months, or so I thought. The night before the Halloween Party, Shane and I were at a loss, and I almost resigned to having him wear this onesie to the party.

Well, Shane asked if I had looked at Target yet. That was the one place I hadn't looked, I'd looked at Wal-Mart, Party City, Spirit Halloween and pretty much every costume website online, and NO ONE had a T Rex costume for Tayson. So we went and looked at Target, and I didn't have any faith ... but alas... it was a Target brand costume so it wasn't anywhere else, and they had 1 left!!! It was meant to be!

Mom & Dad at the party ...

Does this make my head look crooked?

Dad was happy we found my T Rex Costume!!!

Rolling Over! (or the start of it anyway)

So lately, as in the last day or two, Tayson has been trying to roll over. He will arch his back really far and start to move his legs over. He hasn't actually accomplished it yet, but he's getting close. I'm not going to be able to leave him on the couch anymore ... he going to have to be on a blanket on the floor or in his boppy or something. I CANT BELIEVE HOW BIG HE'S GETTING!!!

Happy Birthday Trent & Jim!!!!

So October 7th was my nephew Trent's birthday, and October 13th was my dog Jim's. My niece and nephews came and stayed with us for a week, so we celebrated Trent's birthday this last week while he was here, and Alex, my other nephew, made a cake for Jim. Too bad I couldn't get a picture before it was cut up... but here's what I got a picture of.

Then on Saturday, we did Trent's birthday party. Shane & I got Trent a remote control boat for his birthday, so we all took a walk down to "The Lakes" (the neighborhood just east of us) to try it out. Kira got to ride the horse for a minute while he went from the front yard to the back, and Lance and Joc went all out for the party. They got LOTS of fun things for the kids AND adults to paint, and made cupcakes to decorate. Lance did BBQ Ribs and BBQ Beef Sandwiches as well as hotdogs for lunch. Trent had fun and so did everyone else.

Trent's Boat & Tayson on the walk

Taryn & Alex playin on the rocks where we tried out Trent's boat.

Lance, Trent & Shane got there first, so they already had it in the water by the time we got ther. It worked really good and it was fun to try.

Savanna trying out Tayson's stroller. She had a blast helping me push it down the sidewalk to the water.

Kira on the horse and the skeleton is Steve. (No, there's no hidden message Steve, Trent asked me how Steve was coming along, so that just kind of became his name) =P This is the one I painted.

This is the house Alex painted, and then Alex on the trampoline.

Trent & Tanner playing video games and Tayson sucking on his fingers instead of his pacifier, which he seems to be doing a lot lately... and his fingers of choice are his two middle fingers ...

Wanting to go to sleep & Waking up.

This was Tayson right before bedtime. He had fallen asleep eating, and then obviously woke back up as I was putting him to bed. He is just so dang cute when he's tired. Then again, he just so dang cute ALL THE TIME!!!

This was this morning as he was waking up. He is such a happy boy in the mornings. He thinks everything is funny, and even when I'm SOOOO tired for the 6 am feeding, he is always smiling which makes everything all better. It's so worth it just to see him happy.

Tayson Busting a Gut

I just absolutely love watching these two together ... they have such a bond. When Shane first started to tickle Tayson, he was laughing even harder than in the video, and I started laughing. Tayson immediately stopped, looked at me until I stopped laughing, and then looked back at his daddy and smiled. It was like he was saying "Mommy, we have our time, this is my time with Daddy... and you can't laugh!" I'm just lucky he decided to let me record the event!

This video is to show how much he kicks and moves around ... this is ALL the time, not just every once in a while. It also has a little bit of talking too.

New Tricks

Tayson has learned a few new tricks.

He can blow bubbles, and loves to do so, resulting in LOTS of drool for momma to wipe off his face or her arm or any other place he chooses to let it fall.
He has learned how to flash gang signs ... although I'm not sure which gang this sign belongs to.
He has learned how to talk on the phone to Grandma Nelly and Aunt Annie ... ok, so he wasn't really talking to anyone, but I thought it would be a cute picture. ... And I just love how huge his eyes are in this one.
He's learned how to pull momma's hair ... which is why momma is probably going to be getting a haircut. I never understood why mom's always have short hair. Now I do. He has always grabbed it, but never hard and he always let go whenever I would tug a little on it. Well, now he gets a firm grasp and holds on. I have to pry open his fingers to get it out.
*************************
HOWEVER!!! Those aren't his best tricks. Most of the time when I tickle his chest and tummy, he will get this look on his face where he's not quite sure if he's supposed to laugh or cry. Every once in a while he'll start to cry, but usually, we'll get the most adorable chuckle. And it's not a normal chuckle ... he'll start to get a worried look but then he'll do his little half smile that he does and do a half grunt half chuckle. It's the most adorable thing I've ever heard/seen.
*************************
He also laughs when I take his hands and clap them together and say "YAAAAAAY" and then after he'll open his mouth real wide in the biggest open mouth grin I've ever seen.
*************************
I definitely have been starting to see his personality coming out a lot. There are times when he fights sleep, most of the time he'll go to sleep on his own right away, but we have our moments. That's when momma, who can't sing a note in tune, will sing him to sleep. He knows what I am trying to do, and it used to be that it would put him to sleep right away. The last couple times he starts to laugh at me when I start to sing. I'm not sure if it's because I suck at singing, he knows it, and is laughing at my expense, or if it's because he doesn't want to go to sleep, OR (which is what I think) he just knows that he'll get me to laugh if he does it. I know people say that babies can't really know how to do that kind of thing so young, but I truly think that he knows that when he laughs, I laugh. I really think he just tries to get me to laugh. It's the most adorable thing in the world, and I would love to get it on video, except I would be too embarassed to record my singing.
**************************
The other side of his personality, is I really think he knows when the camera is out. Everytime I try to record one of these last few events I've said, he doesn't do it. He just looks at me like I'm a weirdo (which, in his defense, is true).
**************************
I did, however, get his best trick recorded ... barely. He, if I get him into the squatting position, will stand up all on his own. He'll push with his legs to get into a standing position. I love it, and here it is on the video below. He also, when he gets tired, will slowly bend his legs till he's in the squatting position again, and then I'll lay him back against my legs. Then he'll lift his head up when he wants to do it again. And he really does push with his legs, I'm just steadying him by holding his hands. (FYI ... the recorder wasn't supposed to get me in the video, because I was still in my PJ's ... but I got in so just don't look at me)

Playin' at the Park

So the other day I took my nieces Savanna & Kira and my nephew Tanner to the park across the street from their Nana's house. We had completely lost track of time we were having so much fun, that Shane had to come walk over and get me to come home and feed Tayson. It was a blast and I was able to get a ton of adorable pictures of the kids.

3-6 month

He's getting SOOO big! On Monday he was 24 1/2 in and 13 lbs. This is Tayson's first 3-6 month onesie. Granted, he can still fit into most of his Newborn and 0-3 month onesies too, and this is a smaller 3-6 mo. but still ... it's 3-6 months. I can't believe how fast he's growing up.
